Christie Thomas is a Fundraising Consultant for non-profit organizations. A graduate of Princeton University, she started her career in Europe as a casting director, launching the first English language voice over agency in the Netherlands. Upon returning to the United States she continued to work in television and film, casting for “Law & Order” and other New York based tv series and films. Eventually Christie moved from casting to talent management, handling the East coast management of Halle Berry, Bradley Cooper, Taraji Henson and other talent at the start of their careers. The success of her clients necessitated a move to Los Angeles, where she founded her own management company. After more than 20 years in the entertainment business, she made the switch at non-profit management, completing a Certificate in Fundraising at UCLA Extension. Along with her duties for TV Writers, Christie is Board Chair of Los Angeles Drama Club, an arts organization which empowers at risk youth through the performance of Shakespeare plays.
Christie looks forward to using her management experience and strengths in fundraising to help writers make connections and succeed in the current market, while continuing to develop their skills for the future. Christie currently serves as the chair of the Development Committee.
